Spy Gadgets for Everyday Use

With the development of so many gadgets and other electronics in our world today, it’s no wonder that even spy gadgets have seen some new upgrades and new inventions. We hear about spy gadgets mainly in books and movies, but what we don’t realize is that some of these things are actually being sold to the general public already.

Spy gadgets are not only for actual spying the way you would imagine James Bond would use it for. There are other uses for spy gadgets that are quite applicable for day-to-day living. Here are just a few so-called “spy gadgets” that are actually used for ordinary purposes:
1. Spy cameras—these are wireless mini-cameras placed in hidden or secret locations, usually within another object such as a plant or an appliance.

2. GPS Jammers– devices that scramble GPS signals making all GPS devices useless.

3. Bugs—gadgets with microphones built in, used for recording conversations and other audio.

4. Snake Cameras—a truly useful spy gadget that has a long flexible body that allows insertion through holes so you can see what’s going on in another room.

5. Pinhole Cameras—tiny cameras with the main advantage being its size that allows it to be concealed in a bigger item such as a pen for taking important pictures that can be used as evidence.

6. Listening Devices—used to pick up signals from telephones or other similar communication devices.

7. GPS Trackers—can track locations of automobiles through getting the GPS coordinates of transmitter from the target automobile.

8. Infrared Cameras—allows picture taking with nominal or no light; a very useful spy gadget when you want to stay hidden in the dark.

So, what do these spy gadgets do? They’re not just used by intelligence and counter-intelligence spies, but are practically applied to the following situations:
1. Surveillance work on possible suspects of crimes
2. For gathering information in a detective work
3. To block off wireless signals from mobile phones in a library, theatre, lecture hall so there won’t be any unexpected disturbances
4. Recording birds and wildlife to observe what they do in their natural habitat
5. Surveillance in your home when you have left your baby with a child minder or babysitter
6. Surveillance to record break-ins in homes
7. Surveillance of stores and shops to prevent or record any burglaries
8. To know of radar trackers while on the highway so as to slow down speed when you are nearing one
9. To track company automobiles and where they are at a given time

So, if you were thinking that money going into the development and improvements of spy gadgets would be money just wasted since there are not many spies around, think again. These so-called “spy gadgets” are not just for spies; they are actually very useful to you and me.
